This SWEET LOVE VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY was submitted by Lee and Loralee Lewis of Loralee Lewis.
What a darling party. I absolutely love all of the vintage printables! I also love the beautiful cake covered with white fondant flowers. This party has so many cute ideas that would work perfectly for not just a Valentine’s Day party, but for a Bridal Shower as well.
The Sweet Love party ideas and elements to look for from this darling Valentine’s Day event are:
- The beautiful cake covered in white fondant flowers
- The darling vintage rosette cupcake toppers
- The cute “love” banner
- The darling vintage Valentines
- and MORE!
This is what was said about planning/styling the party- “Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because it heavily involves two of my favorite things: Expressing Love and Stationery. This year I wanted to do a dreamy Valentine’s party that focused heavily on the synthesis of these ideas: the love letter valentine. We did a simple setup with table that we painted pink and a pair of white chairs, with a hutch in the background to hold gifts and treats. We strung the “Sweet” and “Love” banners to add context and inserted a massive, beautiful cake. In re-creating this look, any pastel cake would work beautifully. We then added some cupcakes and some paper favor boxes from our store. We decorated with a micro-bunting banner on the cake, feathers, and as many envelopes as we could find with the heart stickers and notched pennant labels from our store. We replaced the labels on some soda bottles to make them match as well. The soda we used was clear, but any pastel soda would also work, or rep lace the soda with a pink lemonade.
We had the girls wear matching pastels, with silver and pearl accents. For activities they wrote notes to friends and family and made favors to give to others.”
