Superhero Art Party Details:
This is what Josefa said about planning the party- “My baby turned four. As he blew out the candles on his cake, he wished aloud that he “wanted to be a grown up.” In my heart, I lassoed that wish right back! Then hugged him a little tighter and wished instead that he would stay my baby forever.
PJ loves life with such abundance; it is hard not to be consumed by happiness and excitement when you are around him. For such a little person, he has a big personality and an even bigger opinion. Planning his birthday party left me and my sister dizzy. He loves arts and crafts, adores The Flash and everything needs to have sparkly stars! So the fusion of his party theme was born. An Art party, with The Flash, with Sparkly Stars thrown in.
Our house was filled with all the things that PJ loves. Cupcakes, popcorn, fairy floss and lots of cake! Art and craft for hours. Face painting and balloon animals. A piñata – of which PJ insisted on having the final smash! A photo booth to capture the memories and an impromptu concert thrown by the kids at the end.
At the end of the day, after I had kicked off my heels and slipped into my flats, PJ slid onto my lap. “Thank you so much Mum, my party was amazing.” As I stroked his soft, blonde hair, breathing in the softness of my little man, I thought to myself, “no, little man. You are amazing.”
I wonder what crazy adventures next year’s party will bring”?
