Pastel Milk and Cookies Party Details:

This is what Wynona said about planning the party- ”We celebrated my daughter’s 2nd birthday with a sweet Milk and Cookies theme. We wanted a soft feminine look and decided to go with a pastel palette of colours. White was the main colour with pops of pink, brown and blue. The printables and decorations matched the theme and colours. A frame from Ikea was used as the main backdrop, which worked nicely to put focus on the cake (hummingbird flavour). With a plain white wall behind the dessert table, we were able to use poms poms and lanterns on the ceiling above without it looking too busy. The fresh flowers were a beautiful addition and I especially loved the ones on the frame. Since the little guests were mostly toddlers, we didn’t want to offer candy, so it was mostly handmade cookies, chocolate cake pops, fresh coconut cupcakes and a few organic store bought treats. Savoury food included homemade thai sausage rolls, fresh pesto pasta salad, finger sandwiches, mini samosas and rice paper rolls. We served fresh pink lemonade, water and homemade chocolate milk to drink. For a bit of fun, the kids decorated boxes with paper decorations and glitter glue, which they then used to store cookies and dessert items to take home. Party favours included colouring pencils, a colouring book and some other cute knick knacks.”
