Modern Asian Party Details:

This is what Krystle said about planning the party- “Our little girl was born last June 2012 during the Year of the Dragon. Since my husband was crazy about having a Dragon theme to a party and it was part of his requirement that a dragon must be present, my friend and I decided on having a MODERN ASIAN MULAN theme adding a Chinese girl to the party and playing with more vivid colors to add a modern touch to it. Thus, we ended up with not only a younger looking MUSHU dragon but we also played with a Chinese Little girl with a cute asian face which would represent our little girl and worked on the PINK and ORANGE colors to make it modern.

For the styling, we opted to go with a no-balloon 1st Birthday party theme but still very much playful and in touch with the Modern Asian Mulan theme – thus, we worked with ceiling drapes, crystal drops and lots of Japanese lanterns and Paper Pompoms!

For our table centerpieces – we wanted to keep it simple yet elegant thus, we worked on Paper Pompoms Topiaries and Mini Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees using mini Paper Pompoms and Twigs. I also added Fortune Cookies and Candy Treats placed in Chinese Takeaway Boxes in every table for the guests to enjoy.

Stage – Features a huge Styofoam Hand-made Backdrop highlighting our little Asian Girl with Mushu the Dragon and a Cherry Blossom Tree

Party Carts were also Asian themed – Milk Teas and Steamed Dumplings were provided for the guests to enjoy while waiting for the party to start. We also provided Ice Cream and Twister Fries for the kids to enjoy.

Printables – Coloring Materials, Signages, Gift Tags, Table Numbers, Food Labels and Invitations were all printed to match with the theme as well

Dress – Dress was made to order, design is a modern Chinese “Cheongsam” with Chinese collar showing in Pink and Orange color themes as well with matching headband

Cake – It was a 3 tiered cake with a big Asian girl on top to match with the overall theme

Party Favors – We had Party Favors for both Kids and Adults, Kids get to bring home a Lootbag (Pink for Girls and Orange for Boys) which contains coloring books, pencils, notebooks, etc. while Adults get to bring home their very own Personalized Luggage Tag wherein we had a mobile booth to print the Luggage Tags on the spot while they wait. Background design of course were matched with the theme except for the Boys where we features a Chinese Asian Boy instead. – See picture.

Food – Food catered were also Chinese food.”
