Construction Party Details:

This is what Ashley said about planning the party- ”My son Hayden has always love to play in the dirt and drive his trucks around, But ever since my husband got a Track-hoe this last Spring he has been in love with helping his daddy’s  work and dig in the dirt. So I knew just what kind of birthday he would be having for his 3rd birthday…. a Construction Zone Party!  I designed the Construction party printables it was so much fun because normally we are doing lots of girly parties with my 2 oldest girls so this was such a fun boy party, nothing girly about it! LOL  We stuck with the construction theme through out his party and the color scheme was yellow orange and black. He first needed to get him a cute birthday shirt for his invitation pictures and party.  I saw the cutest Dump truck shirt on etsy from Great Stiches and it was awesome for his invitation photos and party photos!

For the dessert table I had some help with some awesome vendors! I ordered some adorable Construction Zone cookies from Oh Sugar Events and they couldn’t have been more perfect! my son loved his cookies and they were a huge hit at the party. Almost too cute to eat! HAHA  Next we got some fun little chocolates with tools on them from  Jenny B Sweets.   We also got some fondant cupcake toppers from Editable Accents on Etsy  and used them to top off half of our cupcakes. The other half of the cupcakes we used our Printable Cupcake toppers. My son fell in love with these chocolate Dump trucks when he saw my looking at them online. I knew i had to get them for his party so we ordered the chocolate dump trucks from Candys Candies we just requested to have them in yellow, orange and black. they were perfect! I had some cute little plastic desert cups laying around that I have been waiting to use and so I made some mini yummy deserts. I layered cool whip, chocolate covered fudge  oreo’s, and sprinkled reese’s pieces on top the kids loved them.  then we also used our Polka dot baking cups and put Cheetos in them. And last I was struggling on what to do for a cake and I didn’t have time to attempt   a fondant cake and not much time to make one either. So I went to Costco and got there tall Chocolate Cake ( which is to die for) and we went from them. We wrapped our printable caution tape around the cake and added some dump trucks and track-hoe’s on top. I also crumbled up oreo’s to look like they had been digging int he dirt.  I had got some cute cone candles and added 3 on the top. To top off the cake I made a name bunting ( included in the printable set) and strung it together using our striped paper straws. So what I was stressing about the whole time not having a cute cake turned out to be one of my easiest cakes and looked perfect for the  dessert table center piece.

For our table setting we got some little yellow hats and put on the back of each kids chair. We used yellow and orange paper plates and layered them. In the middle of each plate they had a mini black gable box filled with candies. We used our printable napkin wraps on one side and our gumball filled tubes on the other side topped off with one of our Printables.  I got the cute little cone drink cups on amazon. And for our center pieces we used our black Blume Box and filled them with shredded orange napkins as a filler and cute our out printable center piece images we then attached them to our striped paper straws to complete our center piece boxes.

Hayden’s Construction Zone party was a huge success and her loved every minute of it! so all the party planning and DIY projects makes it  all worth it to see how much he loved everything!”

I really like the labels you used for the food & the cupcake toppers. Are those things I can order for my son’s party? Please let me know! If not, where could I get them?

    Thanks!
