Magic Party Details:

This is what Anj said about planning the party-

“ABRACADABRA!

It was so much fun to take a classic old time favorite party theme and give it a unique twist!
We celebrated two best friends with a double birthday MAGIC party!
There are some serious pro’s to doubling up a party. For one.. four hands are better than two. Splitting up the to-do-list was so freeing… even with my perfectest tendencies. There is so many things another person can help out with! Lucky for us my daughter and her friend have many of the same friends, so we were still able to keep the guest list to 12. Another thing it helps with is cost. Splitting the expense of the magician, goodies, and other odds and ends makes it possible to do something really fun for the party goers.

This magic party had a stage (made from white cardboard and drawn with my trusty sharpie).
Marquee signs! Complete with lights to introduce our magicians of honor.
A magician. 45 minutes of entertainment… that I didn’t have to plan. ;)
The Cakes… Each child had their own individual magic top hat cake with a rabbit lollypop coming out of it!
Magic Transfiguration Kits. Each invitee received everything they needed to be transformed into a magician. We filled the labeled pieces into black top hats.
And the best part…. the final act.
Pulling rabbits out of a hat!
Each guest pulled a special felt bunny out of a giant top hat. I sewed 14 bunnies and made sure each one was different with her own personality.
They came with adoption cards and a little poem or description of their one of a kind bunny. We took time with each child so she was able to name and adopt her new friend. It made her feel special.

What a fun party! It was spellbinding!”
