Glamping Party Details:

This is what Lauren said about planning the party- “My daughter was turning 9 and decided to have her first sleepover birthday party. I knew just a normal sleepover wouldn’t do, so I called my friend Kara with Lillian Hope Designs and started brainstorming for ideas. I knew I wanted chevron and bright colors, but that was about it. She gave me the idea for glam camping. She had already made party printables for something similar, but did not have professional pics to go with it. So it was a great trade off for both of us! She made all of the printables and I designed and created the entire table. Her photographer Annye with Faith Photography came by and captured some amazing photos. The cake was made by a friend’s mom, Cathy Weems. The detail she did on the cake was amazing! The cookies were made at a local favorite cookie shop, 1 Smart Cookie  I made the oreo pops, spray painted lanterns, chevron p ainted plates, the yarn pom poms and fabric garland, the tent (with help from my husband) and the tin cans that held the drinks, napkins and campfire flames (cheetos). My handy grandpa took care of the woodlogs for me by cutting down an old tree stump on his farm. I just made a whitewash paint (white paint and water) for a weathered look. For their goodies each girl received a custom made tote bag (made by me), flashlight (Dollar Tree), water bottle, notepad (for scavenger hunt) and pajamas (all from Walmart). The decorations came together and fit my vision perfectly. All the girls had a blast (10 stayed the night) and they were all asleep by midnight! The next morning they were treated to a fancy breakfast outdoors with croissants, brie, strawberries, eggs and muffins”.

I am trying to throw a glamping party and wanting to use the wood like you show on the table. I was going to spray paint it white. What did you use to cut the wood as my husband claims he can’t cut with a saw. Please advise.
